*     Research keywords: cellular automata; automata networks; evolutionary computation; natural computation; artificial life.


*     Member of Mackenzie’s research groups on Natural Computation and Adaptive Computing Systems Engineering.


*     Faculty member of the School of Computing and Informatics, Mackenzie Presbyterian University, with research and teaching activities at the Postgraduate Programme in Electrical Engineering and Computing and at the undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Information Systems.


*     Currently supervising 4 PhD, 4 MSc and 5 undergraduate students.


*     Coordinator of a CAPES STIC-AmSud project (CoDANet; 2019-2020), with Chilean, French and Brazilian researchers and students; and participant of a CAPES PrInt project (from 2019 to 2023).


*     Chair (triennium 2019-2010-2021) of IFIP WG-1.5: the working group on Cellular Automata and Discrete Complex Systems' of the Technical Committee 1, on Foundations of Computer Science, of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP), and former Chair of the previous triennium.

*     Co-Chair of the 25th International Workshop on Cellular Automata and Discrete Complex Systems (AUTOMATA 2019).


*     Member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Cellular Automata; Complex System; and the International Journal of Natural Computing Research.
